Fight the good fight of faith... 1 Timothy 6:12 King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
We are called upon in the Bible to fight the good fight of faith. It is a good fight because it is the fight we win. The fight is simply standing on God’s promises in the face of contradictory sense-knowledge evidence. As you recall, sense knowledge is knowledge derived from the world through the five physical senses, which are; seeing, hearing, tasting, feeling and smelling. We have a constant fight with the senses when we commit to walking by faith. This is the good fight of faith. All of the knowledge that you have has been gained in the University of the Senses! You could say that the body (the 5 senses) is the laboratory where you have experimented and developed your knowledge base. Sense knowledge is defeated as we fight the good fight of Bible faith.
Application: Read 1 Timothy chapter 6 and fast at least one meal today.
Affirmation: “I hear the Word and I fight the good fight of faith. I believe my needs are met! My bills are paid! I am debt free! I walk in health, abundance and success!”
As you pray this you are praying God’s perfect will, because you are praying the Word back to God. Do it in faith and you will see phenomenal results.
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. In Jesus Name, Amen.
