40 DAYS OF FAITH DAY 32: “WORDS ARE CONTAINERS”
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Hebrews 4:14
Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. Hebrews 4:14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:1, 3 (NIV)
Words are containers. They can contain love or hatred; faith or fear; compassion or contention. The Word of God when spoken from a pure heart contains power. Words were designed by God to be spoken by the human so that they release power in the earth. What God has said (His Word) has His power in it. This power is what we call faith. Faith-filled words dominate the course of life. Hebrews 1 reveals that God has spoken to us by His Son, His Word.
Application: Read Hebrews chapter 1. Note that God created everything by the spoken word.
Affirmation: “My words are the key to dominion. My words have creative power. My words are the source of creation so I fill my words with faith.”
As you pray this you are praying God’s perfect will, because you are praying the Word back to God. Do it in faith and you will see phenomenal results.
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. In Jesus Name, Amen.
